A Nice Break

Janie and I were able to get away this past week to France. And it was a very welcome break. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary (which isn't actually until August) early, since a man in the church here offered us use of his place in Perpignan, France. It was a great week of rest, peace and quiet.

Ironically, years ago I promised Janie to take her to Paris on our 25th. We both laughed. Once again, the laughter of God's grace is greater than the cynicism of our laughter. Although we opted to stay away from the chaos of Paris itself, it was a apt reminder of how God provides beyond all we could ever ask or imagine.
